Ich hab schon einige Bände der "Schott World Music"-Reihe und wurde auch dieses Mal nicht enttäuscht. Die Auswahl der Stücke gefällt mir sehr gut. John Playford ist sehr häufig vertreten.
Ich spiele die Stücke mit Blockflöte/Tinwhistle. Vom Tonumfang gehen die Stücke bis zum h'', viele Lieder bleiben aber auch darunter, so dass auch weniger erfahrene Spieler hier fündig werden und ihre Freude an der Ausgabe haben.
Am Ende des Buches gibt es zu jedem Stück eine kurze Erläuterung, die mal mehr, mal weniger hilfreich ist.
