I bought this book after I asked at Thomann what they recommend for self-study. So far so good, I am halfway through and I don't feel like abandoning it. The spiral-binding is a plus, sits easily on the music stand of my digital piano. I later ordered the workbook as well, it supports well, although it is not spiral bound and has some difficulties staying on the stand.
