Great sounding headphone. Their technical proficiency doesn't make them boring. An example I can think of is eating ice cream. For example, vanilla flavor (this is whatever you're listening to) from a glass bowl (560S) that does not take anything from the flavor. The idea is to focus on the ice cream, and minimize any distraction. Other brands may suggest adding hot fudge or sprinkles to add additional experience (this is akin to adding "color" to the sound), but a headphone like the HD 560S just want the sound to speak for itself

Excellent Quality Headphones

These are super comfortable, I can wear them for 4 hours and not get uncomfortable. The volume level is nice and loud and perfectly sufficient but not too loud like some of my other headphones that give me headaches after a few minutes.

Honestly stop looking, these Headphones are perfect for listening and also perfect for mixing on. I bought them to listen to the mixes each week after gettin home from recording my debut Album. It's a good buzz to get home & listen to the evolving mixes cause these Headphones really allow me to hear the smallest of noises. The producers head is wrecked, he bought monitors worth thousands recently & these Headphones put them to shame cause there are many things elusive on his monitors but they are clear as day on these headphones, which is exactly what i need, to be able to hear noises that need to be deleted later.

If you don't like critical listening, don't but these, if you do then Just buy them :)

Music sounds beautiful on these :)

Sehr bequem, raeumlicher Klang, zu hell ohne EQ. Alles um 10k ist zu laut - wie bekannt, aber mit EQ bekommt man alles, was man sich wuenschen kann.

Nice sound for a great price!

The balance of the frequencies and the quality and quantity of details is surprising! The reference sound makes it maybe the best option for someone starting to get into higher quality sound!

Great open back phones for the price point.
Delivers on every aspect, can reach pretty good levels of loudness, decent bass, has great sound clarity, comfortable and not fatiguing after hours of listening.

Great product by Senn at an unbeatable price.

I didn't expect much for the price, even though I know Sennheiser products and they are amazing to me. But these exceeded my expectations.

I also have a pair of HD600, and they are very similar. I mean, you can hear the difference in an A/B test, but these are a very good pair of headphones—comfortable and detailed with their classic Sennheiser sound.

If you love the Sennheiser sound and don't want to spend a fortune or it's your first Hi-Fi pair, I highly recommend this pair of headphones.

Great headphones for the price

Upgraded from some aging HD 558s (which I loved). These are very similar with some refinements (more bass extension, flatter response).

Pros:
- Very flat response (sub-bass rolls off by about 5db, normal for open-ears)
- Light
- Relatively easy to drive
- Build quality seems the same as the 558s, as in they feel a bit wobbly and unsatisfying but they seem to survive pretty much anything

Cons:
- Noticed some casing resonance when playing low tones, but not noticeable when listening normally
- Clamping force is too high but all my other Sennheisers loosened up over time
- Pads are a bit too firm, the 558s are currently much softer in comparison, but I can't remember what they were like new
- I haven't had noticed the inner casing touching my ear, but others have, so you may want to consider that
