After trying out lots of pickups this is the one!

I have installed this in a Gibson Flying V reissue (Mahogany body, Rosewood Fingerboard) running into a Marshall SL5 combo. it's vintage output put does not mush out when used with overdrive pedals. Remains clear and articulated with what I can discribe as as 'sizzle' on the top end, I find the alinco 2 magnet adds warmth and gives it nice dinamics. I mostly play 70s Classic/hard rock KISS, Ziggy stardust, Thin lizzy and a bit of Lenny kravitz.

Pros: Vintage voice with a nice open articulated sound with a nice midrange growl (when used with my v).

Build quality is what you expect from Seymour Duncan.

Cons: it's not high output but from my experience I prefer vintage because I can add gain etc with pedals.
I would say the bright sound and 'sizzle' is not for everyone.

I live in the uk and have never had a single problem with any order from Thomann and won't hesitate to order from them again, great product selection, advice and competitive prices!

Great, Fat, Chunky sound

I have a 2001 Texas Special Strat which plays great, but it didn’t have a real punch in the bridge pick up and the Texas Special bridge pickup was very bright, and it would take your head off if I didn’t have the tone rolled halfway back. The Seymour Duncan TB-PG1B works perfect for me.
It has a really nice warm, fat, chunky, bluesy sound and although it doesn’t have a very high output (which I particularly like because it sounds pretty balanced with my single coils) it takes you right to the edge and for Classic rock/Southern Rock/Blues Rock which I play…..the Seymour Duncan TB-PG1B is the perfect pickup for me.

Great for classic rock sounds

Installed this and wired it so it works as a single coil and Humbucker with a click of a switch and it all sounds perfectly, matches the tone I wanted. Works perfectly together with the SD Jazz neck pickup
