Shadow SH930-T 4-String Banjo Pickup,
Anonymous 24.01.2016
The Shadow SH930-T Pickup is a hard wood bridge replacement pickup for a 4-string banjo. It has two piezo pickups built into the outer feet of the bridge and comes with a 12 foot instrument cable and volume/tone control.
The pickup is a bit clumsy looking with a wire coming from the bridge to the volume/tone control and an ugly adhesive velcro pad to support the control.
The performance, like most piezo pickups in my opinion, fails to produce the natural distinctive tones of the banjo even with significant eq tweaking. Furthermore, for live performance the overall volume of the pickup is too low without a decent pre-amp.
Overall I am disappointed with it's performance and have opted instead to use an instrument microphone for the amplification of my banjo.

Bridge works nice but ...
@bitbol 21.01.2018
The bridge is perfect on my banjo. It makes It sounds really good. But there is an earth problem somewhere that makes it noisy. I always have a bad noise we I try to record it. So I prefer to do so with my external mic.

If anybody have an idea to remove the earth problem I would be glad to know it.
