I am in doubt.

Well it is not the products fault. The product may work as it might have been intended to. It is just that I have not figured out where and how.
You see, I just wanted a new instrument, and I bought a mighty beauty Electar lap steel from Thomann. Just to try something new. I have played guitar for 40 years, so time was there to find something new. This steel bar is something I ordered with it. I must say as a rookie as I am, this was a boomer for me. I know now I should have gone for a longer and a rounded edge steel bare to my rather large hands. So be aware, if you like me am a newbie, try to find someone who can guide you to the right steel. Without being friend with your steel, it all will be a lot harder, and you might give up. And we don't want that.

It is a steel bar

I bought this with my entry level lap steel guitar. I did not know which one to buy. I got the SP3 which has two "sharp" ends. If you do not know which one to buy, then get the SP1 which has one "sharp" end and one round end.

Shubb SP 3 steel bar

Shubb steel bar is great, heavy and easy to grip. I've tried a cylinder one and the one with the heel for single string playing which works well but I keep returning to this. As a beginner it sits easily in my fairly small hands
