In typical Shure fashion, this thing just "works", and no apparent tonal loss when compared to a high-quality lead.

Gain selector/dial is set at 60% since day-1, and up to now I've had no reason to adjust.

Ideal for UK users, as it sits in the safe (legal) frequency-range and thus doesn't get easily offended by other radio devices, or passing ambulances, etc.

I've yet to encounter external noise, or connector-rumble. The receiver is sitting within 10M of 2 x wifi routers, and god knows how many bluetooth transceivers... and no dirt arriving on the channel.

Highly recommend this unit...

Don't bother with cheap radio devices, unless you want to become a hater-of-anything-wireless.

Reliable and Good Sound Quality

I use this for live theatre and have used it with Shure headset mics, guitars and a DPA4099 violin mic. The sound is good, reception has been reliable and battery life is excellent. I switch on all other wireless transmitters first then allow the BLX to scan for a free available channel. I have never had interference problems and I use up to 10 wireless mics.

The plastic housing of both transmitter and receiver seem a bit fragile, but they stand up to fair abuse.
