Good sounding headphones
Samasati 22.07.2022
I bought these as an entry level studio headphones. I was hoping for Shure's legendary SM58 type of quality and here's what my impression is.

The sound quality is perfect for my amateur purposes. I use it as a monitor set for playing bass guitar, midi instruments and vocals.

The comfort is great. Good padding on the right places, covers the entire ear and very lightweight construction.

The cable is long enough and is good quality as well. However the 6.35 jack adapter could be better. It's a screw-on sullution and therefore can't really be used on other 3.5mm jacks. Not a big deal but I like universal solutions.

What's my biggest concern about these headphones is the build quality. The body is made of cheap plastic. Only time will tell how long the pivoting joints will last. Unfortunatelly that's the most vulnerable point of all headphones and having broken three already I'm a bit dissapointed to see Shure's product this flimsy.

Overall, good headphones and definitely serves the purpose.

Great sound, few relatively minor complaints regarding build quality and personal comfort
messmedia 31.05.2024
It's been a little over a year and a half since my purchase of these headphones.
I bought those for listening, and sound editing for video. I've used these for listening the majority of the time.

And the sound is GREAT. S(h)ure -:), it does have features typical for closed-back headphones (little boxed), but the precision and soundstage are very high. I got ZERO complaints about sound quality.

And, the build quality is not bad either. I've read some complaints here about it, having the plasticky feel and whatnot, but I just don't understand what all those people think they should get for this amount of money?!
- The plastic and sturdiness are FINE. After a year and a half of several hours a day usage, these headphones are still in excellent shape, like new ones. The cups, the leathery coverings, the cable, all have been holding well, with no wear-and-tear signs.
Except for one, stupid thing: the cloth that is covering the sponge under the headphones connecting bridge has come off.
Id did not tear off, or break from using, it just stopped being connected to the ridge on one side, suddenly. Probably because the connection to the ridge is not deep (a millimeter or two). It is unfortunate, and I can assume it happens occasionally, after all, this is serial production item, but it spoiled a bit overall excellent build quality review.
I removed the cloth completely (didn't wanna fiddle with gluing it, but it is doable)

Another thing, and this one I decided should not influence the comfort review, is the fact that these are too short for my very big head. Opened to the last notch, I still need a little more height to properly fit me, so I have to put them on an angle and press them a bit to fit my ears.
People with regular-sized heads or smaller, will not have this problem at all, and apart from being small for me, these are VERY COMFORTABLE headphones. The cushions are not too loose or too hard, they are put in appropriate places. Even with angled fitting, these still don't bother me while I wear my glasses. The pressure is not high, but enaugh to hold the headphones reliably on place.

Overall, I consider these to be really good, especially considering the price. The only reason I am thinking of switching now would be the size for my head.
But it is not easy to find that info or examples in practice, since I live in the part of the world that does not have stores in which I could test it.

Sounds great but minor design issue
Fitzlerlad 25.08.2024
They sound great and find they are very good for mixing/producing as an alternative to monitors at this price point with the natural response but the cable it comes with can be annoying, it's not coiled but completely straight and very long (nearly too long) and since it's not coiled you get the 'stethoscope' effect where if you touch the cable you can feel the friction in your ear which can be quite annoying. You can get a coiled cable for the headphones for like 20 quid seperately either which does help but still Shure could've just included that in the first place which I don't get.
