These 8 gel pads come in a sturdy transparent case, well separated from each other by plastic sheets. They are very soft, non toxic, washable and reusable.
Keep in mind that each pad is sticky on both sides and tends to attract dust easily.
The usual purpose of the pads is to dampen overtones and slightly decrease the volume of the drumheads. Another suggested use is to attach these pads on the external surface of drums too close to each other.
The box info suggest to attach the pads near the rim of the drum to obtain a softer, less intense dampening, or near the centre for a stronger dampening.
I'm currently using these pads in an unorthodox way: I attached one to the beater of my electronic mesh heads drumset to decrease the intensity and volume of each beat, thus decreasing the noise coming from the bass drum itself. The pad stays in place even if it attached to a vertical plastic surface so, for the current purpose, I really have no complaints.
These pads have a strong adhesive power and appear to be a quality product overall.

Love this stuff. They do exactly as described, and can easily be applied to drums or cymbals without leaving a mess, or moving about.
The packaging is great too and each pad is separated from the next so you're not pulling two of them apart like you have to with other brands.
