I bought these to use to convert a 14" and a 16" tom into floor toms.
Since then I have decided not to use these legs (and additional shell-mounting brackets) since I decided to not drill any holes for the brackets and use the toms as hanging toms on a special two-tom stand with a tripod which holds them well enough.
Hanging toms are said to resonate more freely than floor toms which have restricted shell resonance due to the legs. But this is why Sonor made the rubber parts on these legs specially designed to enhance resonance in the shells.
For those that need to use these legs to convert rack toms into floor toms, I would definitely recommend them.
Pearl also have a system that enhances resonance. I would also suggest considering those, which Thömann also sells.

can take a hard hitter

Extremely sturdy legs and long, which makes these a fine choice if you wish to stand upright while playing. I've mounted these on a 24" kick drum and they can easily withstand the pressure/hold the weight.

More than enough

It has the lenght and the strenght to use it on any floor toms you have. Only problem is, it only comes in chrome. If it had a black chrome version too, you could use it on different brands (like Mapex Saturn which has black chrome hardware). The rubber feets are big, maybe even slighly bigger than necessary I think. But on the other hand, you will feel the sturdyness and the solidness. So... I can live with that. Recommended!

Perfect

Wanted a longer floor tom leg to double up as an accessory holder. Used the long leg as the furthest leg away from me to the right which I had poking up between my ride and second crash. I've been using a jam block attached to it but the options are endless to be honest, so long as they tighten onto the leg. I don't have my drums raised too high and I get a good 4 inches of clearance with the tom leg.

This sonor floor tom leg are just great. The grip can hold the floor tom in place for hours of playing. The leg it self is really well made, They are very robust and good. I do recommend buying them, you wont regret.

Superb Sonar Legs
Dave8320 28.12.2014
Being a bit fussy on my set up I've found that these extra long legs to be superb. I purchased 6 of these for my 14 & 16 floor toms they come in at around 60-70 mm longer than most standard legs, they are not knurled and are well chromed with quite large rubber feet so don't move around and are at a fantastic price.
