Bought these to replace the stock ones in my Laney Cub 12R, which were making loud 'popping' noises.
No issues with these in the four or so years since doing that.
I also couldn't hear a difference between before and after (except the absence of the popping noises!) - at least on the Laney it seems not to affect the tone too much.
I'd definitely recommend these, even just to keep as spares, especially because getting these ones from Thomann is significantly cheaper than anywhere else, at least in small quantities.

Sovtek is probably the only brand where you know that tubes you order and what you'll get. Fender uses them, I use them. THey are durable, low noise and sound great!

Great sound, strange design.

wont fit certain amps. Only buy if your chassis has a big enough socket or are able to competently modify your sockets with a metal rasping tool.

Does the job.

Fitted to replace a faulty tube in a Class A head. Restoration of sparkle and chime. Nice overall sound. Seems to break up earlier than the original did when new, but quite a musical break up.

handy as spares

I've used sovtek valves for years as emergency get out of jail free valves when in an emergency I need to replace any in my amp. I wouldn't rate them as a long term replacement, Electro harmonix do a gold pinned set for power and pre amp valves, they seem to have a brighter quality than most other valves I've tried. But the sovteks are a suitable set if you need valves changed quick.

well, not cool but hot!
Have them on a 18watt clone for 3 hours 1 to 2 times a week for 6 months and they sound just as good or even bether than whey they were new.

Nice tubes

These sovtek tubes are great for a nice warm smooth sound if that's what your after .I recommend that you get a matched pair so that the sound is moving slowly in to the break up for that sizzling warm tone..

Very nice power tubes

I am pretty sure that this is KGB's secret ammunition that was designed for low watt tube amps. You plug these guys on to your amp and your amp starts to work like a heavy horse with a breath of fresh air. Luckily this is not a secret anymore :)
