Just okay and yet "assembled" in China

SSL Fusion worth the hype? might be. But I found that this unit did not blown my mind away. Firstly, I had bad experience with other item from SSL (that they did not soldered some component inside and makes me to open and repair myself), I asume that they lowering the working labour budget and comes with lower quality checking and the material of the product.

I guess it is the same with this Fusion. Beautiful unit in the picture and video, but again, did not impressed me much in reality. Have to say that this SSL's great and versatile in functionality aspect but sorry to try as realistic as possible but I really not sure it will last for two decades or so. Previously I want to buy SSL THE BUS+ after this fusion, but now I change my mind and after a Tegeler VTC / VTRC or Creme. Or if possible I will go for the Avalon products. Some product that not made or assembled in CHina

SSL making very good gears for modern studios, this was shocked me when it release. You can use it anywhere you want. my favorite was on 2bus and master. Any section of this device was very good, is hard to sound bad. The insert was really useful. Can have so many combo. The build quality was so Good. Very happy to have Fusion on my chain.

I had to wait a long time for this beast but it was worth it. When I finally received it, it had a bent rack ear due to bad handling by the transport company. Luckily, Thomann did a good job in swiftly exchanging it with another one, so no complaints there.
As for use, it's simply a big step up if you work in the box. The EQ is stunning, and I especially like the Width functionality.
In short, quality doesn't come cheap, but this is really a good investement if you're serious with your sound.

i have used it on my mix and it opened up my mix with the stereo image and vintage drive , it is a great device for mixing and mastering and you can even use it to saturate Drum Tracks and Vocals using Vintage Drive and many other things,i love the Violet EQ with the HF Compressor it sounds musical.

Cons : When i Turn on Vintage Drive it Gets Noisy and its very loud if you are using it for mastering, but still it sound great with it on and sometime i like the analog Noise in my master .

Super precise Color EQ, everything from the vintage Drive, to the HF Compressor, to the Violet EQ, how Sides can be controlled ... it's flawless! I used it already on several projects and I'm too busy using it to be able to say much on a review. So happy to have it in my rack

The Fusion is exactly what I needed to add to my outboard gear. Featuring a nice EQ, cool drive and excellent hi-freq compressor it really adds something to the mix that plugins just can't seem to do. The stereo imaging is also something I haven't been able to recreate with plugins. Very nice unit!

For those who are concerned about the latency of plugins.

I hate plug-in latency when I'm composing and programming while playing. It has a bad effect on composition. But with SSL FUSION, we don't use plugins for the master channel. Latency is zero.
Also, if you don't get good mix results with SSL FUSION, you'll quickly notice that the mix before using SSL FUSION is bad.

Reduce the amount of time you spend thinking and making mistakes with plugins.
It speeds up your composition.

If it can make a dull mix sound sweet, big and punchy, imagine what can you do a beautifully mixed song.
Finishes the mixes, perfect for mastering and individual tracks.
It can make ur song sound like it was mixed on a classic and expensive SSL console. THE MOST AMAZING BOX I'VE USED!!
