Stairville IP Bar IR Remote

I no longer had the footswitch for my Stairville Stage Tri-LED bundle complete & had planned on buying a replacement footswitch. On checking on the Thomann site, I saw that the IP bar IR remote was cited as working with my lighting bundle. I went ahead & bought it, only to find that NOTHING worked & there was no user guide anywhere to help. And of course I cannot get in touch with the service section by phone until too late for yet another gig with no lighting control. I am expecting to pay postage to return as well as paying postage again when I buy the footswitch. I just hope THAT works. Thomann have always been so helpful in the past, so I dont know what has changed.
