Just perfect!
Kevo 20.01.2020
I am a solo acoustic performer & sometimes a duo. I needed a bag to carry all my cables. I like to carry back ups for every cable I use just in case. So I decided on this. I had previously purchased it's bigger brother, the SB-144 Bag, but it was way to big! So I donated it to the local football club to carry a teams football kit and it is the perfect size (Note to all football clubs if you need a kit bag that will last and of quality, I highly recommend). I already knew the quality of the bag so had no issue choosing this one. Was only a question of size.

Delivered on time & packaged well. It is of good quality material and will take a good bit of abuse & wear & tear. The handles are sturdy and well sewn. The carrying strap has good quality clasps and a comfortable pad for comfort. The strap runs diagonaly over the bag which is a little annoying when loading or unloading the bag as it gets in the way. It does, however, make it much more comfortable to carry over the shoulder. It has a pouch on the front that is handy for carrying small connectors, adapters etc.

All in all, although it is designed for carrying lighting, it is the perfect bag for carrying cables. Time will only tell how much abuse it will handle but I think it I will get the value out of it. Another good Thomann branded product and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Utilisé pour transport de têtes d'ampli
inu 29.07.2021

j
good strong bag
jonnybass1968 16.10.2017
I was looking for something big and sturdy to hold all the power cables for the band (there are a lot!) and this bag is a treat, really well made, zips look indestructible and it holds everything power-wise that a 5 piece band would need. 10/10

T
Should be OK; would have preferred a bit more padding
TheCakeMeister 29.08.2015
I think these will be OK. I was expecting a padded bag to have a little bit more padding to be honest. These are like to be better at protecting equipment than any holdall you might buy on the high street, but I would have appreciated even more protection.

What is great and not apparent from the picture is that the opening of this bag is larger than the top dimension - in other words, not only does all of the top hinge open, but part of the front and part of the back too. That should make getting things in and out much easier than it would be in a standard holdall.

I like the fact that there are the normal handles on both long sides (for normal, one-handed operation) plus small ones on both ends (for carrying between two people maybe, or dragging) and even a shoulder strap, so there are plenty of carrying options available.

The thing that is a bit disconcerting is how these bags smell. They are made from a type of plastic that smells a little bit. It's not strong, but it's not great if you like to sleep with your equipment! OK, maybe that won't really be a problem.

I'm not sure how useful the pocket on the front will be; it's quite long and thin. There is no pocket at either end, which might be a useful addition if they are ever redesigned. I was wondering whether there would be an end pocket the full size of the end, because the pictures of this bag reminded me of a holdall I own which does have this feature.

Remember that the padding that is present makes these bags a little less flexible than you might expect from other things you have handled. That's no bad thing because it is the protection that is built in which is making it like this, but have it in mind when you are considering buying them.

A good multipurpose bag
Bowlegs 06.03.2024
I find this bag ideal for putting things like microphones, cables, pedals and all the other items used on a gig in one place. It's just the right size. The strap handle is just right for when it's not got too much weight in it and when there is more weight in the bag the handles at each end of the bag are ideal for two people to share the load. Rather than fuss with lots of smaller bags this Stairville SB-140 is marvellous .

A
Great bag for lighting gear.
Anonymous 16.01.2017
Ive been using this bag for a number of years to carry 2 stairville mini stage pars as well as a DXM comsole, cables, power supply etc. It has plenty of room. The padding helps protect the gear - even our cat thinks its a great place to sleep and has her seal of approval ;)

The bag is still in pristine shape and going strong, all stitching and zips as good as day one. Compared to some bags that would be showing significant wear and tear by now its still doing the job and not about to be replaced!! I expect many more years from it.

Excellent bag!
Sam Fidock 14.04.2018
I was not expecting much when I ordered this bag but I am very impressed and delighted with what I have received.

A well equipped, strong bag for not cost at all.

This currently holds 4 Stairville Flood panels, 2 0,5m Stairville bars and 5 sets of DMX cables/mains extensions. Easily fits and the bag holds it all with ease. The Shoulder strap is an excellent touch!

So useful..!!
Gazbo 14.11.2016
I bought this to house a bunch of Chauvet colorband pix minis and it is perfect. I can hold ten easily and the handles at each end are great for a two handed carry.

The front pouch is really good for all the little extras that you need on the road.

This has been out with me so many times, in and out of the van and showing very little signs of wear.

So far, so good. Very pleased.

Great sized bag
Matt_VII 27.06.2018
We keep loads of lights/leads plus a DMX controller in this bag. Good amount of pockets. The only thing is the shoulder strap goes across the opening diagonally so can get in the way a bit.
