Why do we still need those?

As it's XXI century I wish there was some better solution than hard token, but it does its job well and looks like it can survive a lot. This version is smaller than the one I bought few years ago, which makes it feel sturdy.

Great for trying out software that needs a Steinberg elicense. However, it is just too troublesome if you use your computer for other things as the USB elicenser has to be plugged at all times when using a DAW.
Bit of a shame that Steinberg have not thought of another way yet, as I decided not to purchase the Portico 5033 software because it required this USB elicenser
