These reeds offer good stability, and are very consistent. I prefer them to Vandoren because I find I get more good reeds per box. The cut suits me well, and they play similar to the old Rico Reserve purple reeds (which have since dropped off in quality), but they also last a bit longer. I play Peter Leuthner professional french cut on the Bb clarinet, and these Steuer reeds match well with them.
