Strymon Ojai

For such a small and extremely light unit, this power supply packs a huge punch. Along with 5 pedals on my pedal board for pedal steel guitar, in what was usually a noisy chain, the Ojai eliminates all power noise and ground loop issues. This had been a real issue for me prior to purchasing this unit. With each of the outputs isolated from the main power, this is a really well designed piece of equipment. What makes the pedal even more impressive is the ability to make it scalable and expandable allowing connection of multiple Ojai's if you wish to power more than five pedals. Strymon have gone a step further also for the touring musician by building in worldwide power compatibility. This pedal is a must-have on your pedal board.

All the Strymon multi-power supplies are just the best. The Ojai is the smallest of the bunch but, as expected, it is very well and robustly constructed. Powers every pedal perfectly, without any noise in the chain. I was initially thinking of buying the Zuma 300 as it has the power supply integrated (one less brick to deal with), BUT actually, having the 9V inputs and the power supply separate allows me for more space flexibility in the pedalboard. As other reviews mentioned already: It only has 5 inputs but you can get an expansion if needed and use the same power supply brick. Yes, Strymons are expensive no doubt, but in my opinion worth every cent. If you are serious about your pedal chain power and sound these are a no brainer.
