Inexpensive, rack mount, quality desk for hardware engineers? Yes please!
Look, I know this is a music store, but if you're an engineer and need a place for soldering iron, o-scope, power supply, switch, power strips, usb hubs, computer, etc. GET THIS DESK. Toss in 2x6u draws, some slide outs for hardware projects in-flight, a rack mount power strip, etc and you are in business.
The cons:
Look. This thing is HEAVY. Even with two people, I needed a hand truck to get it in the house. This isn't a bad thing, but my friend, I am telling you, unless you are a beast, you will NOT be lifting this on your own.
The top portion could be a bit easier to put together. It's.... fiddly.
I really wished they had used actual rack strips that need cage nuts than what they used (tapped strips with supplied screws and washers). It's ok, but it would be nicer if they used cage nuts.
The pros: Everything else. Build quality, size, space. I spent 2 years looking for a desk I liked. This. This is it.
