Amazing Value and Sound
IanC 14.05.2016
These headphones sound way more expensive than you'd think. Out of the box, the value for money is amazing. They even come with spare velour pads as an option.

Build is plastic and comfort is pretty good. I found them better with the velour pads which are quite soft although some might find the clamp a little tight. One member of my site found the velour a little itchy. I can wear them for a long time though.

Sound as sold is good, although there is a pretty potent bass and a strident treble. Some folks may well like this sound. I found the bass deep, but detatched from the mids and the treble a little strident.

However, with some really simple alterations, they become outstanding. All that is needed is electrical tape and tissue paper. If you remove the pads, there are 6 vents on the baffle plate. Tape over 4 of them. Place 1 or 2 layers of tissue over the front and put the velour pads back.

The result is a stunning listen. Bass is slightly lowered but goes amazingly deep. It integrates better with the mids and the treble is tamed. In this form, it's a five star sound whereas in stock form, I'd say a four star sound.

These mods take literally minutes and you end up with a stunning buy. I'd say the best of the Superlux line up once modded.

For full details and measurements, you can visit my headphone site where they have been tested with results of the mods to compare, by Solderdude. DIY Audio Heaven will supply the details.

A
Unreal value for money !!
Anonymous 21.09.2016
Long time I was searching for some decent loking and souding headphones, and was investigating internet about the right pair, but every single pair that was recomended was to expensive (Audio Tehnica, Fostex, Sehennheiser, AKG, Shure, etc.) and then I stumbled on youtube on some Superlux headophones that are the rip off's of mentioned brands, and that got my attention, and I bought a pair to investigate my self. They said that for example the Superlux HD661 model that cost 30¤ has IDENTICAL drivers likeSony MDR-7506 whitch cost about 100¤. So why not try it.

After of couple days of listening diferend genres of music I was very impresed by the sound they are producing paired with the U-Phoria UMC2020HD. The bass is simply to awesome for my taste, it's deep and very punchy. Mid and highs are more then decent, and the separation is there. I can clearly hear all instument's in background. The drives are very very loud. I use them for listening of music, for gaming, and recoding sesions of saz.

About the comfort and quality I really don'y have much except that the clamping force is a bit strong, but I can't feel them on top of my head whitch is great, and the both type of pads are very soft, and that has supriesed me a bit, becouse I expected them to be a bit harder, and was searching online some replamcent pads, but now I'm stickign whit the stock ones. Way more then i expected for 30? headphones. The plastic fells not cheap at all. And the best thing is that they gonna be so hard do breake, becouse of the best implementation of detachable cable that I ever seen. Very simple to use and store them after using. And if and when the cable breaks, just buy a 3.5 mm male to female extension cable, and you are ready to go.

The conculusion is that for 30¤ you gonna get a headphones that sound, looks and feels just as good as the one that cost 150¤, maybe even better. And they are worh every cent.

Decent for the price, good when modified
Vladm 03.01.2018
Pros:
-very good sound quality for the price, when modified (guide available online - need to block 4 of the 6 vent ports and use thin filter to reduce treble peak - very easy to do);
-comes with comfortable velour pads;
-good passive noise isolation ;
-sturdy, despite medium build quality, no issues after 8 months;

Cons:
-micro-phonic cable;
-cheap feeling plastic.

Good budget headphones, but comfort could be better for large heads and large ears
Rusty-S 23.09.2017
I bought these headphones to use as a backup for my Audio Technica ATH-AD700s and for when I needed the sound isolation of a closed pair of headphones. I'm not much of an audiophile or headphone aficionado but these Superlux HD-662 Evos sound pretty good to me. and they don't sound like a cheap pair of headphones. The mids sound natural, the highs are detailed without being shrill, and the bass sounds deep and pronounced without being too overpowering.The soundstage is surprisingly expansive for a closed pair of headphones, and the closed back does a fairly good job of keeping out outside noise.

I would say the biggest issue with these headphones is comfort. The circumference of my head is around 58cm, so it is on the larger side, and I found the default clamping force on these headphones to be much too strong. I adjusted the clamping force by bending the two metal bands at the top, but it still doesn't feel quite right.

In addition to having a pretty big head I have fairly long ears, and I found the pads on these headphones to be a bit too small to enclose them completely. The inner parts of the pads clamp against the very tips of the bottom and top of my ears, which creates slight pressure points that make me want to take the headphones off and give my ears a rest after a couple of hours of wear.

All in all, these are good headphones for the price and I would recommend them as a pair of backup or beater headphones, but in my estimation they're less than ideal for large heads, particularly if you're in the market for just one pair of headphones that you can wear all day without even noticing that they're on your head.

Great design...but that's it
octakhan 02.10.2019
Considering the price range of these headphones there shouldn't be any real complaints regarding their quality. They come with an extra cable, a pouch and an extra set of pads which is great to be honest.
They sound pretty good, the highs seem to overshadow the other frequency bands but otherwise they're alright.
Nothing outstanding but definitely better than anything in this price range to be honest.
The clamping strength of these is rather weak, they rest well on the head but don't exactly create a proper seal. They're also, somewhat surprisingly not as comfortable as they appear. It's like they are rigid and don't exactly mold on the head properly.
Bottom line - quality/price ratio is pretty good. If you're not willing to dish out much but want a little more from your gear - this is the way to go

All items were fine out of the box. Fit very comfortably but securely over ears. No pressure points. Big 50mm elements deliver right out of the box. Low end is immense compared to AKG-K52 for example. Top end seems a litte overpronounced but it will even out during use definitely. Detachable cable may or may not last. Input jack has been made flexible at the headphone end but maybe it should be firmly secure so only the replacable part could flex. Conclusion is still as other people have stated here: These ARE the best cans for this money!

For this price it might be the best choice
Anonymous 03.04.2017
I was looking for a new pair of headphones for some time after my Philips SHP3000 became more and more useless (problems with cable, old semi-leather etc.).

I checked many headphones in stores nearby but even the expensive ones (> 300¤) had kind of flat sound.

Those one have better sound than SHP3000, definitely not flat. They are closed which helps at work, and additionally I like the add-ons (two cables, nice!).

What I don't like is the plastic quality, reminds me a cheap Chinese toys. It's not a big deal though.

Also, for problems I'd say cable is not properly isolated from the plastic cover and I can hear when cable is moving with my head and touches my clothes. Also not a big deal, but noticeable issue.

I didn't have problem with the pressure on my head, but sometimes I feel they are a little bit too low. This might be however just a subjective feeling.

So, to sum this up. If you're looking for something cheap, with pretty good sound, you might want to give them a chance.

If you don't like it, you can always send it back.

Very good but a bit uncomfortable after a few hours
Rossignole 09.08.2021
I like these headphones which seem to reproduce a clear dynamic sound and they've lasted several years of regular use. They fit well over the ears and the general build quality is good. My only criticism is the band which passes over the top of the head and tends to pull the headphones in a bit too much onto the ears after a period of usage. There's no real way to regulate the tension (although recently I did a DIY job on them and removed the tensioned band which seems to have done the job). All in all and considering the price they're pretty good for regular use of a couple of hours at a time.
