I bought this for home and small venue gig use. I often play a guitar with low output pickups , so the boost function is very useful to raise the signal enough to give a bit more bite and allow a little extra volume when in a band setting. The drive function, while not have any separate controls, gives a big gain boost, but is easily controllable using the vol knob on the guitar.
Things I love - The clean tone is phenomenal. It has it's own "sound", but can do a fender clean and a box chime by using the tone controls to dial it in. The tone stack feels very fender like in use and has a good sweep of tone on each control. It's loud enough to gig as long as you don't want very loud cleans. Great for a bluesy breakup and rock.
Things I don't like so much - Not a lot really. The faceplate labelling would be nicer if it was the other way round to be able to be seen from the front of the amp and also maybe chicken head knobs to see the amp settings more easily in a darker room/stage would be nice. The knobs could be easily sorted out quite cheaply and is something i intend to do at some point.
That's it really, just a couple of very minor negatives and a load of positives. Great amp.
