It Does the Job
auramstudios 26.01.2022
We bought the t.bone MS 180 as we needed a pop filter. Not much can be said about the functionality... It is a pop filter, it does it's job.

However, when talking about the quality it isn't the greatest. The filter itself fell off of the goose neck on the first use. On inspection the filter is held on with a glue, which for some reason just wasn't holding, it has now been glued back using superglue. Along with the above, the goose neck has a tightener to stop it swiveling, however no matter how tight it is, it comes unscrewed on its own while trying to get the filter in the right position.

The filter is okay if you are on a budget, but expect what you pay for.

BK
Solid item for its price
Bobo K 15.07.2021
This is a good choice for your first pop filter. If you just want to get one to try how it feels or to get used to the feeling of having one in front of your face, you won't go wrong with it.

The fabric itself is quite thin, I'd advise being careful where you store the item. Thankfully, it's also a bit elastic, so it can take at least some pressure on it.

The screw holds the entire thing well, I haven't had problems with it falling or sliding of round mic stands.

The gooseneck is not super nimble, hence the 4 stars. Don't expect any acrobatics from it. It can definitely hold the filter for long periods of time but if you've got to twist it into peculiar positions, it will start to unwind on its own.

Pros:
- cheap, handy, does what it's supposed to do;
- a good first pop-filter if you've never used one before;

Cons:
- potentially, there's a high risk of ripping the fabric;
- the gooseneck is sometimes acting against your will.

Overall, I can recommend it.

D
Mild quality, doesn't block all pops
DoomerKris 03.09.2023
I'm not super happy with this anti-pop filter. I still had lots of "S"s and "P"s to edit manually after recording. The net is a bit fragile and the neck doesn't always keep its position and falls downward.

A good size pop-shield for the money
Stephen7400 27.08.2015
This pop-shield is 'double-glazed' in that there are two sides to the mesh giving extra protection to the microphone. The mesh is like a fine gossamer, about the same as a 12 denier stocking. The shield diameter of 150mm is more than adequate for all but the most out-sized studio microphones. I found the screw mounting easy to use and it attached to my microphone stand easily without damaging the finish when tightened. The goose-neck is sufficiently flexible to enable positioning of the shield quickly in most any position. All in all I was very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to get the best results from a studio quality microphone on a small budget.

Not for professional recording
Anonymous 06.02.2015
Just as I mentioned in the itle, the t.bone MS 180 is not a product which one would get if looking for a top-notch professional recording. For me, quite an amateur musician/audio engineer, it will suit my needs for quite some time. You realise that it lacks some quality in its entirety and what I would recommend is that you don't further move it when you first attach it where you want it, as it feels that it may fall apart soon if I do. All that being said, I still find this a good purchase for the amount I paid and it works well for the time being. I should also note that It will take away some high end and that the arm, although seemingly unstable, is pretty elastic, which is one of the features I am most fond of buying this particular product. Not too fancy, not bad at all. Convenient, effective, and you get what you paid for. The best moment for you to buy the t.bone ms 180 is if you're starting your own studio and are not in a real big budget. Take this guy home and spend some money on some other product, because this is ideal for you.

Does the job!
toomuchcoffee 20.06.2022
I can't compare this to more expensive pop shields, but it certainly has an impact on the "pops" you'll get from plosive sounds when singing into a condensor mic without it.

Decent, though a little troublesome
KJensen 25.06.2021
For the price, this is a very decent pop-filter. The filter itself is a little heavy for the arm it is mounted on, though, so it needs to be adjusted frequently.

Well designed felexible pop filter with mount.
MR Deano 19.12.2021
This pop filter is well designed, one particular advantage is the neck is long enough that the mount doesn't necessarily need to be attached to the mic stand as it has a pinion clasp that can be attached to a table, desk or a music stand- meaning it will not cause rumble or noise when independent from the mic stand.

Useful and inexpensive
Ms Ella. 22.09.2020
So far it stops the popping sounds effectively. I like the way is flexible to move actually. The slightly heavy part where you attach it to a mic stand is the down side for this though.
But so far is very manageable.
