For toning DOWN an overdrive

Fitted to a Behringer VT999 overdrive, this gives a wider range of crunch. The full tilt scream-o-crush is still there, above 2'O'clock on the gain dial, but now more gentle break-up sounds are easier to dial in than before. Much easier. It makes the VT999 eminently capable as either a pre-amp into FX return, thus bypassing the amps pre or into the front of an amp whose gain stage is a little too bitey.

This a well balanced tube. It has a warm clean sound and a tight overdrive sound. So its suitable for more then one genre. Little and easy to install.

great in my Egnater Tweaker 15...

I put some of these in my Egnater Tweaker 15 to lessen the gain, and the effect was fantastic. Really put me in control of the master volume, and the tone improved also.
