Best cymbal stand!!!
Anonymous 13.02.2017
This stand continues the best hardware traditions of TAMA. Very sturdy and stable. It allows you to place your cymbal where and how you want. The upper shoulder can be folded over into the guide tube and used as a straight stand. Quick-cymbal mate on top (QC8) . As well multidisc plates tilt mechanism at the top, instead of gears- that allows you to choose any angle. Increased rubberized feet make it even more stable. Tama's engeneers said that they revised silhouette of legs so that you can put a few stands as close as possible to each other. I recommend!

Very Solid
Paul5933 24.05.2022
I'm a novice drummer. I started out 10 months ago and have been using a Mapex Tornado kit.

My plan is to upgrade hardware piece by piece before swapping the shells out.

I decided to go Tama for the hardware as it seemed to have a reputation for being solid and well made. I am pleased to say I was not disappointed.

I chose the RoadPro line as I was looking for hardware robust enough to last how ever far my drumming journey takes me.

First impression was this is heavy - not in a bad way. Solid and weighty is a good way to describe it. The tubing is considerably thicker than the beginner level kit it was replacing.

I currently use it for my 18 inch and there's no wobble. or movement in use.

All of the adjustment keys are solid and precise. You loosen them, adjust the stand and goes where you want it and stays there.

Plenty of adjustment in the legs too. Substantial feet give means the stand stays in place.

I was planning on buy two more - one to use as straight stand for my second crash. In stead I plan to add a second for my ride and use a clamp and boom for the second crash - The stand is solid and stable enough to hold both.

So far I'm impressed and can't wait to replace the rest of my hardware.

Super steady cymbal stand, very good quality
jerome.v 15.11.2020
I picked this model to support the tom-toms on a Mapex Armory kit, looking for a good price/quality ratio and I've been entirely satisfied.

I use this to hold 2 cymbals (a splash, using an extension arm) and one 10" tom and it's super steady!

This a very good and easy to use product:
* cymbal positioning is very easy, thanks to a fast lock screw and the usual multi-axis adjustments
* large legs and heavy weight makes the stand super stable
* double braced: adjust one element without moving all the other elements attached to the stand.

Extremely solid cymbal stand
paradigm84 06.05.2017
I bought this with the intention of attaching several arms to the stand, however I was concerned that putting so much on it would cause it to be unstable.

My worries were completely unfounded, this thing is absolutely rock solid, unbelievably so for the price point.

The build quality is fantastic, it feels like I could throw it around for months on end with no issues.

It's very quick and easy to set up, and is surprisingly compact given how large you can set it up. The locking nuts are very secure and offer a lot of placement options, even for larger more awkward cymbals.

The legs are curved, which gives me more confidence that it won't slide around, and they form an extremely stable base, even with 3 additional arms clamped to it. The stand being ~ 6kg helps with this.

The only way I can imagine it could tip over is if you had some giant thick 24" ride with everything fully extended and you are hammering on it to try and knock it over. Even then I'm not sure you'd manage it.

When I get another stand for the kit, I'll definitely be purchasing another of these.

Sturdy as she goes.

I can mount my 20 inch dark ride with the boom arm almost all the way out, and this thing still won't tip over. Would be even better with the counterweight. Still, fantastic work as I've come to expect from Tama. Not a single con that I could think of.

Well built, stable, functional stands
Ste Keloid 27.02.2024
I love these stands. They are really well built, and very functional. I've had a number of them over the years, and they stand up to so much use without showing any signs of becoming loose, hard to adjust, warping etc.
The greatest feature is the mechanism within the cymbal tilter, which operates by pressing flat discs together as opposed to gears with teeth. This means that cymbal angle is infinitely adjustable.
I would recommend these stands to anyone. Very easy to use, and very well built. I have never once had a stand loosen on me during a show!
