Almost perfect, but lacking a few small things
Dyils.TV 07.09.2020
It's a great replacement for my software processing. I used to use:
1. Voicemeeter Banana for routing my audio
2. Cantabile with Reaper plugins for microphone audio processing in real time
3. Equalizer APO for Equalization on my headphones.
4. A small AMP for my headphones
5. StreamDeck with Voicemeeter plugin for audio routing changes

I have managed to replace 4 of 5 of those things with the GoXLR mini
1. The routing table in GoXLR mini allows a lot of flexibility in routing audio to wherever I want
2. Built-in microphone processing with EQ, Noise Gate and Compression
4. Provides quite a decent amount of power and sounds quite nice. I no longer use my AMP, even though I've heard there's a way to connect it and use it together with the GoXLR.
5. StreamDeck with GoXLR plugin for easy audio routing changes

So overall, this has already been fantastic, it gives so much control at your fingertips, especially if you combine this with a StreamDeck, because it has a plugin for it where you can control either the Routing Table by itself or switch between different profiles you create in the GoXLR app itself if you want to change more than just the Routing Table.

There are several cons however:
1. Audio Routing - the routing table is great, but I would have liked to see at least one more output for speakers. We currently have Headphone Out and Line Out. That's enough for headphones and speakers if you do not have a second (streaming) PC. If you do, you have to use the Line Out for the second PC instead of speakers and then you have nowhere to connect your speakers and you can't switch to them with the press of a button any more. I feel like this is a common need for people who don't want to wear headphones 100% of the time. It's potentially doable if you have 2 GoXLRs and connect them to each other via Line In / Out and connect each via USB to each computer.

2. Very small con but microphone processing lacks a de-esser on the mini version, just because for some reason they decided to make this bus powered (i.e. usb powered) instead of having a separate brick for powering it. I am not sure why though, such a powerful and flexible device, who would complain if you had to power it separately? Just get an extension and problem solved. The de-esser would have been nice but this is a very small con.

3. Neither GoXLR version has any EQ on outputs! - this is a big con for me and I would like to see EQ on outputs, not just on the microphone in future versions of this product. There are 2 alternatives currently - if you use the Sampler channel that is detected in Windows to send your music with EQ to it. Then you use the Music channel to send your music without EQ to it. You can route the Music channel to the stream and the Sampler channel to yourself so only your music is EQed but not the stream's EQ. The 2nd alternative is to just send EQed music to your stream and then apply an equal and opposite EQ on the stream to cancel it out. So one EQ on your music with Equalizer APO and another opposite EQ in OBS to cancel it out for the stream.

4. The StreamDeck plugin keeps breaking constantly - if you are using this, make sure you find a version of stream deck and the GoXLR plugin that works for you and then make sure you do not update it! Every other update breaks the plugin and makes it unusable. It's incredibly frustrating.

M
Top device for streamers
MicJunkie 20.03.2022
Great device with industry standard features for streamers! My unit did die after 1-2 years of use but Thomann's Warranty service was great and they replaced the board inside.

Ja
Works as intended..
Just another enthusiast 02.09.2021
My only issue is that it came with the plastic-cover and the feet being extremely scratched, which meant nothing other than as used product! Sad to see that this happens on thomann, I thought that was an Amazon thing :). Regardless, product works as intended, nothing is wrong with it, and the main panel is unscratched once the plastic cover was removed.

The Default Recommendation
Etha 01.08.2023
I've been using this product for a few years now, and it's been an absolute treat to use. Simple, effective and robust, I recommend the GoXLR to anyone looking to get into streaming or podcasting as the best bang for your buck in the market. The only criticism I have is that the software can be a little buggy at times, and rarely receives support. That being said, this is one of those products that unequivocally deserves your hard earned money.

Good Product
AlexKlu 20.03.2023
The only reason its not all a five star rating is due to the lack of a de-esser, the rest of the product works exactly as it should. The software is also pretty good.

Perfect starting point
sisseck.net 03.08.2021
As an entry level item for streaming/gaming/voip this has worked brilliantly for me.
Expect some time to get everything set up and a few weird things in software.
Only negative that keeps happening for me is that the assignment of output streams dont always play nice in software. For instance, opening a youtube clip will send sound to default output till I refresh page, then it will send it to the output I have set in windows settings.

Love the item but useless without activator for SM7B
ibhr 26.09.2022
Despite all the preaching that its preamps are powerful enough for SM7B -- they are not. Unless you are a streamer, having gain at 90% and playing music/game in the background. Otherwise, for my purposes (live + talking only), its just not powerful enough. If I max the gain, hiss is unbearable. If I lower gain, I'm too silent. So ended up buying mic activator.

Also, bear in mind -- it will always have LED lights on, unless you unplug it or make a light profile with all the lights off and change it manually when you want it off.

Besides that specific issues, I love the product.

S
Great mixer with a one aesthetic issue
Smurphy89 12.09.2020
I've found the GoXLR Mini to be a fantastic mixer for livestreaming on Twitch, as it gives me the ability to adjust sound levels on the fly, without having to dive into individual apps (games, Discord, Twitch alerts etc) to change volume levels. However, one thing that gets on my nerves is the fact that the sliders have printed names above them. I wish these were little LED screens so you can change text. My slider marked 'Music' for example is used for game sounds rather than music. I wish it could be changed to say 'game sounds'. But this is very minor. All in all though everything is built very well, slliders are smooth and the ability to measure volumes using the onboard LED equiliser is great. For those wanting a little more control over your streams, but don't want to spend the cash on the full sized GoXLR, then the Mini is definitely one to get.

O
Good product but lacks in a few small areas.
OzymaticTV 05.09.2020
Build quality is okay, nothing special but solid enough.

lacks a few vital features
1) dedicated monitor headphone volume, you either dedicate and solider to headphone volume or use the software to change it.
2) software support is limited, updates and infrequent and honestly support is impossible to contact.
3) doesn't shutdown with the PC (stays lit up) unless you make some BIOS changes

positives
1) great sound
2) nothing compares on the market
3) mixer really helps to keep a 2 pc setup simple
