The sound is very small and dark. Not a bright percussive sound I expected.
Also, I played these like kashakas because they look like they are supposed to be played like that, but the shells cracked easily after a few collisions.

cant modify the length of the rope, the balls cracked after a few days and I was very gentle... not recommended . Thomann was very understanding about it tho. As usual.
