Cheap and useful
distreviev 01.06.2017
I have it for a long time and it still works well, but feels a bit cheap - the feel of the plastic and plastic's imperfect shape of mine adapter is the reason I feel this way. But it does it's job. If you need it for casual use, there is no problem - it is reliable and it is replaceable - you are not afraid to cause any damage to it, since you can buy it for such a small price.

I use it mostly if I need to connect some cheap phone headphones to my audio interface outputs, so I can hear, how the average phone user would hear the music I am producing and compare that to the mix I created with a better set of headphones (with a better connector).

For studio mixing or professional stage use (attaching to professional cables), I advise buying something better, so you don't diminish the quality of your sound.

Fine indeed.
Anonymous 28.10.2016
Not the most exciting thing in the world but exactly what I needed and does the job fine.

The plastic molding around the body could have been cut cleaner and SOME Doepfer 3.5mm cables feel like they could work loose - but the price makes up for any minor niggles. Saying that, I am not comfortable enough to subject these to any excessive force... just be aware!

p
Great for the price !

I have 5 and to be honest I really should have bought loads more of these! great to have around and great value.

All bronze/metal adaptors are better quality and more durable so just be aware of that.

Amazingly Cheap
kparkyn 28.04.2017
For the price, these are amazing. Definitely not the best quality out there, but for most uses they do the job. For anyone looking for slightly higher quality, I would recommend something like the "t.bone headphone adapter" (also quite cheap), however these would be perfect for anyone wanting to buy a few as backups or spares.

R
Decent adapter
Rurouni 13.08.2016
I often need my one of these for my mixer and I always lose them wherever I go so its nice to keep spares around.

Great for converting signals coming from a 3.5mm jack to a 1/4" jack.
And you can even use them with your headphones in tube amps.

They cost nothing so I buy a couple because I tend to lose them before prolonged use so I cant comment on longevity.

It works well, does what it meant for. Only thing - the look and the quality is a bit doubtful.

Functional, reliable
WillO 05.05.2015
All of mine work fine. I'd prefer the sturdier all-metal adapters, but these are cheaper and work great. I've bought similar items from my local music shop that were of poor quality (dropped connections, one ring not working etc.), I've had no such issues with these ones from Thomann.

My guitarists use it
VonBek 19.10.2024
Bought some of those for my guitarists to use. I have not heard any loud complains about them, but once, it was mentioned that it does not stand well and so, I would say it is not as reliable as it gets.

sufficient

This adapter is a very sufficient one. It is not threaded but the jack is so tight that you wont need a thread but maybe you need strong hands to get the plug in it because it is really tight.
