Pretty much nothing else to say, it worked and allowed me to hook up my laptop to a 5.1 system via SPDIF. Was cheap, recommended if you have a spare optical cable and need a 3.5 mm type jack connection. Can't rate quality without using it for a couple of years, but it is just plastic, might not put up with being bashed if you tend to smack gear around.
