It may seem like a cheap cable but I needed something to use with a Matchless Independence for the TRS FX loop, which is a single input loop. It does everything it should at a bargain price.

It was meant as a cheap cable just to try out the fx loop as the reverb on the amp isn't exactly rubbish, I just wanted to throw some delay and chorus in there too occasionally. The cable is long enough to reach my pedalboard and the cable jack ends seem tough enough to withstand loads of average club and pub gigs.
The cable is silent in use and is of a decent quality and is flexible enough to resist kinks so it hopefully should last. The Y end with the two cables has red and white bands around the plugs to identify which one is which.

It seems at odds to use a cable that cost a couple of quid with an amp of the quality of the Matchless and expensive fx, but it works well and I haven't noticed any degradation in the tone.

I bought five insert cables to hook up all my effect boards in my rack onto my mixing board and it worked out perfectly. I was a tiny bit sceptical about the price in the beginning. Unbeatable price in this class. High quality insert cable worth every cent. Reliable and very easy to connect to all equipment that use the insert cable.
There's many cables out there that are three times pricey as the YPP2030 but at the end of the day this insert cable still do what it's supposed to do. No sizzling,crackling or boomy sound. The plastic smell is a bit unbearable in the beginning but one get used to it. A quick solution to an expensive problem.

These inexpensive Y cables (stereo TRS to a pair of TR ¼" plugs) are irreplaceable in the project studio. Even today, when most processing is done in the digital domain, you always end up needing these cables for channel inserts, or to conveniently split the signal from a headphones out into the mixer, or (with a ¼" to 1/8" adapter), to get your phone/mp3 quickly into the desk, etc. etc.. The possibilities are truly endless, and you can't have enough signal splitters around :-)

The build quality of this cable is OK for the controlled environment of a home studio. Definitely on the plasticky side of things, but you're not going to use these cables on the road anyway, where built quality is extra important, so it's not a big deal.
