Came supplied free of charge with an amplifier purchased from Thomann. Seemed like a reasonable power cable until I turned over the plug and discovered one of the pins had simply sheared off after an impact in transit, making the cable completely unusable. Whilst this was partly a packaging issue, it also doesn't exactly sing the praises of the durability of the plug.
The problem is, like many "modern" UK plugs, this one has power pins with plastic bases and only a metal tip, so that it's better insulated and the user shock-protected when inserting it into a socket. Unfortunately, what this pin style adds in safety, it takes away in durability, making the pins brittle and easy to snap when compared to the full-length metal ones that run right back into the plug body.
Fine for home use but if that's what a bit of shipping did to it, I can't see it surviving life on the road for very long. A shame the wall plug let this down, as the actual cable seemed to be thick and of a fair quality, and the IEC C13 "kettle" plug that goes into the equipment was of a good standard too.
