This mount is very solid and re-assuring - you are sure that it will not fall off while in use. The only issue is that it does not quite grip the mic gooseneck perfectly - I had to add some electrical tape to prevent it rotating.

Build quality is good and the thing stays put.

BUT it highly depends on the violin it's used on. Some violins have more curvature to the back than others and you might find it unusable on some violins. I did.
