I am using this as an anchor point for the cables that enter the rack backend, so if they get accidentally pulled there is still some resistance before the connectors are dislodged. I also use small plastic ties to keep everything up. At the same time this allows a visual "entry point" for all the cables and facilitates a much more organized routing. Although this does not show in the product pictures, the metal plate on the back is removable so that the cables are fed into the slots before it snaps back on.
One thing that I would improve: for thick multicore cables it would be useful to have some wider slots
