Very impressed!

I have been using Shure PSM 700 for many years, and finally decided to retire it. I also used to have a Sennheiser G3 IEM. I was happy with both previous systems, however comparing these to the Thomann D2.4T/R combo - I have to say that things have moved on a LOT. The first thing to hit me was the sound quality - a significant upgrade on the other 2 systems I've used. I was VERY impressed. The transmitter has a nice bright (auto-dimming) front display which is very easy to navigate, and all settings are available via the dial selector. Input gain is a great feature depending on what kit you're sending your audio from. The level meters on the front are simple, but work very well to ensure you've got the best gain for the audio source. The transmitter is a rugged metal construction and looks and feels very solid as do the panel controls. The beltpack is not metal, but I have to say after years of using metal ones, this one is very lightweight which is a plus for me. The composite plastic however is great quality and solid. It does not feel cheap. The pack also has a mode switch to access the menu, which is very simple to operate also, with some nice features in such as EQ and 'Eardrive' both of which have several options to customise the sound in you in-ears. I am using the Shure SE215s which I've never liked much, but plugged into this kit they sound significantly better :) I have no concerns about the durability of the belt pack. It is well engineered. Love the lithium battery - 18500 with 8 hours capacity all day long! Brilliant innovation! No more Thor away expensive Duracells! You won't likely need a spare battery, but Thomann offer one at a very cheap price. These will last you years. Also included in the IR sync between the belt pack and transmitter. I honestly can't find anything wrong with this kit! It is great value. I now need to road test it, but have already found out that I can roam from the front of my house, to the rear of the back garden some 40 metres away and the signal stays full, with no drop-outs, which I am amazed at considering all the brick and metal in between! Others have achieved 150m before drop outs and I can believe it. I am interested to see how the unit copes with a congested live environment with 200+ mobile phones in one room, so I will eventually report back on this, but there are lots of channels to choose from so I'm optimistic. Thanks Thomann! Great job!
