Can't handle heavy monitors
Eacyy 28.01.2021
I bought these to use with Yamaha's HS 5's and the foam pads deform with the weight of the speaker, making it not stand horizontally. It makes the speaker tilted, not a lot, but noticeably tilted.
Also, care with table stability, as the speakers tend to wobble when the table is moved. My speakers never fell, as I've never moved my table too much with them on it.
Good sound absorption nonetheless, maybe with bigger or lighter speakers they will be better.

Basic pads, but they do their work
robvalca 09.11.2021
They are basic pads for speakers but they do their work. For my set of 5inch speakers (ESI nEar Experience) they were a bit long, so I had to cut them to fit in my setup.

Yeah I guess they're alright
tasty requrement 13.01.2021
I have them under my Yamaha HS 5's to reduce vibrations. Makes me feel a bit less scared of them falling off the shelf I guess, surprises me how grippy the foam is come to think of it. Then again any foam lying around would do just as good of a job.

Don't buy them if you have some foam already lying around. Otherwise. it's just easier than buying a tiny bit of foam from a foam suppler.

Very cheap foam
James Clayton 12.12.2017
Does make a big difference but comparing to some of the higher quality stands with acoustic isolation built in these are kind of redundant. Great if you're tight on space or money but not for a serious studio.

Good quality, bit too big for Yamaha HS5
Sam Lindauer 23.05.2024
I bought these for my Yamaha HS5's. They do what they're supposed to do, however, they are a few centimeters too deep for these boxes. To fit my desk I've cut them a bit shorter, which works, but definitely degrades the clean look a bit.

Don't expect miracle differences in your audio by ear, unless you have TC30 to meter your studio. They did cancel some minor vibrations that were created from the monitors on high levels that were flat on my desk. For desk space management I recommend that you cough up some extra cash and go for the millennium monitor stands cause you will save some desk space by lifting your monitors higher. These pads have to be tilted towards me so that I can have a clear stereo image and take some extra space. Lastly, I wouldn't price this product at 14.90EUR its only a bit of foam that probably cost 10c to make.

Not the best solution
jds hb 20.05.2019
These pads raise up the studio monitors/ give them a lifte angle. Foam is not really the best solution as the sound becomes muddy and bass intensive. Can't really recommend. Stands are a much better solution and the Thomann stands are cheap and stable.

Good isolation pads but...
tomatoKetchup 17.06.2016
In terms of efficiency, nothing to say, these pads are sturdy and do the job.

I was just disappointed to realize that they only offer configurations to tilt DOWN your monitors, and none to tilt them up. So I had to turn the pads around to have the desire effect, thus hiding the little logo in front. This doesn't look great but anyway...

It's also a shame they don't have a size under, these pads are still too long for my monitors (a pair of MediaONE 4a) and there is a good bit of foam spreading behind.

Useful pads for isolation and angling
Jack G. 01.02.2014
The iso-pad 5 are a very useful studio tool. I use mine with my krk rokit 5 monitors.

Because the pad comes with in 2 parts, it is easy create different angles for your speakers. Speakers can be angled flat, up a bit, up a bit more, down a bit and down a bit more. So if you have a problem with speakers pointing at your chest, they are great.

The isolation is not great with these pads, though they do make a small difference. With the pads, a little bit less bass travels through to the desktop, meaning that there is less bass smearing and mud. If you don't have any other pads, these provide a small improvement.

Although the isolation is not great with these pads, they solved a problem for me, so they are a useful budget purchase.
