Good for the price

I got these to record a stereo image of my acoustic guitar for bedroom recordings. These mics pretty much just do the job for me, I have yet to try them out as an overhead pair for drums but I can predict they'll work fine, looking at their frequency chart.

Pros:
- Affordable
- Includes a stereo rail which is very useful when using the mics, shock mounts and windscreens.
- Features selectable pads AND high pass filter cutoffs which I appreciate on mics.

Cons:
- The shock mounts are very tight to get the mics in and out of which might be troublesome for others.
- These mics aren't amazing for recording acoustic guitar as they sound a bit "thinny". I'd say these mics are more designed to be used for overheads.

Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a cheap solution to drum overheads, try out these mics. But for close micing guitars or anything, I'd advise looking for a different kind of small diaphragm condensers.

Surprising little sticks

I ordered these microphones in need for some stereo recordings.
I had to make just one and I thought that 40€ is bare maximum. So I bought these.

After I hooked these up I was quite surprised what 20€ could give me - pleasant sound.
First I tried to record some binaural ambience. Worked out great for me. Picks up sounds good thanks to a cardioid recording pattern. Being a small condenser microphone it isn't that sensitive.
But this was enough to get me to try recording a piano. I set it up as stereo one for lower end, one for higher end.
At home I listened back the recordings and it sound fairly good.
The mids were a bit muffled and the low end a bit weak but it was easily compensated by an EQ. Not perfect but not utterly bad either. I think the okay rating describes these microphones quite well. They aren't good but they can get the job done (by jumping through some hoops).

Every sound engineer should have these in their collection

These mics were recommended to me when I attended a recording workshop. When I saw how cheap they were I was sceptical but decided to buy them anyway. They paid for themselves the first time I used them when making a video that required the mics to be setup out of shot. I can't believe the quality of the sound from such a small mic and to get a matched pair complete with shock mounts, windshields and a stereo bar mount in the kit is astounding. I cannot rate these mcs highly enough.

NO
Multi Use Condenser Mic
Noah Otiende 21.11.2021
Natural sounding condensor mics. Can be used as a condensor mic for dialogue as well given that it records within the range if 20hz - 20khz. Also worth noting is the pad and low pass switch feature on the mics which are useful depending in the situation.

Excellent value

We bought this stereo set for studio recordings mainly for stereo OH and acoustic guitars. Sound is great, they have little low end cut even with no-low cut switch engage. For OH we do it comparison wit Samson CO2, Oktava 012MKII, and AT Pro 37, and must to say it handle with this other mics very well. Better than Samson and AT and different than Oktava. I'm not saying that they are better ore vorse then Oktava, just different type of beast! Great for everyone who looking to by low cost stereo pair condenser misc.

A hiden gem

I was sceptical at first, but decided to buy them. Did not regret though.
I use them as overhead pair for drums but I can predict they'll work fine in other setups as well.

Pros:
- Very affordable
- Includes a stereo rail (which is very useful when using the mics, shock mounts and windscreens)
- Has selectable pads with high pass filter cutoffs
- Designed to be used for overheads for sure

Cons:
- Very, very tight shock mounts (but ok, not much of an issue really)
- Not for recording acoustic instruments as they sound a bit "thinny"

In that particular price range, look no further!

Very very good mics
tsiguel 21.03.2018
Have gotten these mics as a pair of overheads for drum recording. They are extremely cheap and shoot very well above the price point.

About the only con is that the case that it comes with is a cardboard box but it does its job and for the money I would not expect anything more.

The mics come with all adapters, shock mounts and even a stereo arm which can get you started in no time. The stereo arm feels a bit flimsy but not bad by any stretch.

The build quality is great. The mics feel superb in the hand and have not found any issue with the construction.

The sound is clear (a tiny bit on the dark side) and sits very well in the mix. It consistently produces a very usable sound and considering its price point I am thoroughly impessed.

Would recommend this and will try to use for other applications.

Just got it, and recorded few vocal lines....
Anonymous 24.05.2023
There is nothing much to say against it. You can make professional recordings with it. The only thing, I would do differently is box. I would make box that you don't have to unpack everything, and place it in box, but just to put i safely, and when you need it, grab it...screw it on stand, and there you go. Best mic is the one that is always on ready to record..

T.Bone EM 700 Stereo-set
voxwah75 23.05.2020
I used these on recording for hi-hat and also for overheads, the right high-punch for this application. Hi-hats a little better imo. Don't expect great depth's & warmths from these guys, for warm sounding acoustic guitars or vocals I recommend the use of large diaphragm mic's even though I once recorded drums with only these two, it can be done. It's surely a good bang for the buck.

Cheap and noisey
Electricbacfac 27.08.2019
I used them twice and then bought better mic's. Since then I never use them. Too much self noise for most recording jobs. The good thing is you can leave them rigged and no one will nick them. No good for high end use. Good for a kid or a beginner. Just know they are a bit hissy.
