the t.bone EM 700 Stereo Set

I was sceptical at first, but decided to buy them. Did not regret though.
I use them as overhead pair for drums but I can predict they'll work fine in other setups as well.

Pros:
- Very affordable
- Includes a stereo rail (which is very useful when using the mics, shock mounts and windscreens)
- Has selectable pads with high pass filter cutoffs
- Designed to be used for overheads for sure

Cons:
- Very, very tight shock mounts (but ok, not much of an issue really)
- Not for recording acoustic instruments as they sound a bit "thinny"

In that particular price range, look no further!

Have gotten these mics as a pair of overheads for drum recording. They are extremely cheap and shoot very well above the price point.

About the only con is that the case that it comes with is a cardboard box but it does its job and for the money I would not expect anything more.

The mics come with all adapters, shock mounts and even a stereo arm which can get you started in no time. The stereo arm feels a bit flimsy but not bad by any stretch.

The build quality is great. The mics feel superb in the hand and have not found any issue with the construction.

The sound is clear (a tiny bit on the dark side) and sits very well in the mix. It consistently produces a very usable sound and considering its price point I am thoroughly impessed.

Would recommend this and will try to use for other applications.

I know this sounds silly, but I use these mics for vocals in my EVERY NIGHT show, I have a Beatles tribute band and we perform in extremely loud venue, where you need tons of volume out of your mic and NO FEEDBACK , after trying many many mics, so expensive ones etc,,,these mics are by far the best, powerful, crystal clear, and because they have a very small diafragma you won't get FEEDBACK at all even when is dead loud. I bought already 8 of these mics and I've been using them every single night since more than a year ago, and they are SUPERB despite their low price, can't get any better go for it , you won't regret it !!!

Used for live recording of string instruments, especially on the violins. I had surprisingly excellent results in both XY and wide stereo methods.
Used also in combination with the Rode M3's as to enforce the high frequencies.
Used in sound design and gave good results in creating squeaky and wind effects.

The low-cut filter and the switchable pad makes it very easy to use in different environments.

All in all this matched pair is a very great value for the price.

If I may criticize something is that the stereo bar seems to be a little fragile. But, I can live with that.

I really recommend it for studio and live recordings as a tools to use with other mics.

Low-cost but very good results!
