Fine until they break, great price for entry level setup.
Anonymous 12.04.2016
Thank goodness Thomann are good at returns and exchanges, as these earbuds became an integral part of my live setup, then both the original set and replacement both generated a fault in one bud (not due to a build up of wax as is the first port-of-call).

If I could afford professionally molded IEM at the moment, I would definitely go for it - the EP4's were part of a 'trial' to see if there was a benefit to this type of live monitoring. The affordability of the IEM package meant I could give it a go. Now I can't ever go back to relying on just wedge monitors, as it's a world of difference, even with an entry level setup like this.

Everyone's ears are different, and I find that one bud pops out throughout the night (using the biggest interchangeable tip). So not ideal, but for the price; really good.

I should say also that although they don't sound incredible, they are a few levels up from the included buds that came with the transmitter/receiver - much clearer and don't get vacuum trapped in your ear canal!

Don't want to sound negative, just trying to give a balanced opinion on these having used them at every gig since the middle of last year. Cheers!

Good enough we sold our monitors
Anonymous 09.02.2016
For the price these are great value.

I bought a pair for everyone in our band as an experiment, and over a single weekend they switched to IEMs without complaining at all, even the drummer seems happy.

Clear sound, comfortable enough to wear all night and really good isolation.

They are a bit light on bass, but they're still way bassier than my £150 Sony studio headphones.

Don't wear whilst cycling or walking across the road, you'll die.

Very budget friendly, storage is pleasant and the buds fit very nicely. These are of high quality and the cable is incredibly durable. Some accidents whilst I have been mixing would have demolished other earphones, but the drivers are apparently completely untouched. I haven't worn these myself as they are for the band (I'm the engineer) but the singers have responded incredibly well. And these folks aren't used to IEMS. Will be buying more in the future.

Do not recommend...
Perfeito 13.11.2018
Let me say upfront that even though I bought these as spare stage inear monitors I never expected the quality to be anywhere near the ones I use normally. I soon realized that beyond the sound quality, which was nice for the price, there was nothing else going for these... I end up using them with my MP3 player but not for long. The cable is very thin and became brittle not long after and the buds were not ergonomic at all causing my ears to ache. In a nutshell, don't get these!

Cheap price, cheap earphones.
Bournwithmusic 29.12.2020
Sound: Absolutely no low-end, a little mid-range if your ears are big enough for the bigger adapters, but mostly just high frequencies (which get worse throughout the show, as the earphones gradually come out of your ears)
Quality: Let's just say I've had them for a year and one side has already stopped working. They come with a special case which I guess would protect them, but it's impossible to get them back in the case.
They are good if you're just starting out and want to discover in-ear monitoring, but I'd put in the price for something better if you're looking for something worth-while.

Get what you pay for

This is my first attempt at in-ear monitoring and so far its a little disappointing. I've found these earphones to be just ok. They don't seem to handle low end as well as I hoped they might and struggle a bit with high volumes. Comfort-wise they are ok, but as they are my first set I don't have a reference point to compare them to anything else. Overall, the jury is still out on these for me

T.bone EP4

These represent great value for money. The selection of ear buds offer a pretty versatile choice for getting a good fit, this then provides good sound isolation. They offer quite a flat eq response which for me is very good in providing a very natural sound in the frequencies I need to hear. A good starting point to move into in ear monitoring on a budget.

Very very good product, but the cable...
Anonymous 20.10.2014
The sound is very flat, what surprised me because I was used to bassy phones. Now I can't hear other phones anymore.

The sound quality is impressive and flat. You can hear everything, from the bass to the Bird singing. The quality of the phones are very good, it survived a washing machine once. The cable seems good at first, but within contact with the skin it seems to desintegrate the cables. It brakes in the middle of the plastic, then the copper wires inside brakes too and it's a pain.

The sound isolation is awesome, you can't hear anything from outside. It seems that the sound is inside your head. Just awesome. What makes the volume even higher because it doesn't need to compete with outside sound.

It's confortable too.

I would buy it again and recommend it, but buy a decent pair of cables to make the change.

Amazing for the price
AllTheGoodNamesWereAlreadyTaken 09.11.2018
I bought these as a starter pair to go with the tbone IEM75 and still use them if I worry about my expensive Shure ones getting wrecked for whatever reason. Secretly though I really like them! Sorry to the pro audio guys that know this stuff better but whilst I'd say the Shure sound is fuller, can be ran quieter and has more low end drive - these give me clarity in the high mids which is useful for vocal monitoring. Whilst the Shure CL ones fit better - putting them in and taking them out is more of a procedure -whilst these are easy to pop out mid song if I need to. Finally as daft as it sounds - the Shure ones are difficult to tell left and right apart under stage light - or lack of! The blue and red on the EP4 is easy to spot so usually results in less faff! Had these for over a year and the cable still works which is more than I can say for my other pairs of headphones!

Great Value IEMs
Anonymous 28.05.2015
These in ear monitors are perfect for anyone on a budget or looking to try using i ears for the first time. The fit is very comfortable for my ears and they stay in well even times when I have used them as standard earphones and went out running.

The sound is very clear and accurate, they are not designed like normal earphones to make everything sound better, they are designed to make everything as clear and sharp as possible.

The lasted a long time but unfortunately the cable broke just after 3 years but thats more than to be expected for the price.

I would recommend!
