Nice microphone
Michael B. 417 30.10.2013
I've had my Shure SM58 wireless for many years now and wanted to get a new system and got this Free Solo-system. The sound is loud and clear. It's very easy to set up the system and if necessary change the values in the reciever/transmitter.
Compared to Shure its good, but not better.

Très satisfait - Très bon transmetteur UHF
MarcBl 14.01.2019

Very surprised
Steve Leeb 28.10.2018
Was not expecting these to work as well as they did. They look and feel professional, they sound great and it has most of the features wireless systems that cost a lot more have. Saw a lot of reviews saying the handling noise was a problem but Thomann have either fixed that since their reviews or they were using them to juggle with. Would recommend.

Bang for buck

Not a single problem with this microphone. Really good vocal reproduction, with a bit of proximity effect when singing really into it. Regarding transmission reliability, so far no problem using it in Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland, the frequency selection saved the day many many many times.

t.bone free solo HT 863 MHz

fabulous medium priced cordless mic.

I use this as a roving, mic but have a 2nd one that I use as a public mic for speeches, guest singers or in cabaret.

These mic's have a really great sound & are strongly made and so not easily damaged even if accidentally dropped.

compared to other makes of similar or even higher price these win hands down.

Negative: The power cord could be longer.

Amazing Value Microphone
The funk messiah 22.05.2019
I use this microphone for speech use only no singing.
It is used at public ebents such as school and gaming events.
The sound quality is very good for this sort of thing. I cannot comment if it would be ok for live band vocals but in all honesty i think it would hold up well.
The microphone has excellent range, 100m was not a problem. No drop out of the signal and the delay was inperceivable.
Battery usage seemed fine, gave me no worries.
I noticed no excessive handling noise like some reviews have stated.
It feels well made and the case has proved useful, even has space for spare batteries..... a nice little touch.
Overall i am very pleased with the qualirt and value of this microphone and am going to purchase another very soon.
I was lucky enough to compare this to a much more expensive shure beta58 based system and the sound was so close it suprised me.
Maybe a better PA system would have shown a bigger difference but i was running it thru RCF art 312a MK4 so pretty decent speakers!

Well done Thomann, a very good value piece of equipment.

P
Free Solo hand held system (UK frequency)
Peter7135 18.08.2014
I have used the free solo system all summer and think it is value for money, easy to use, it syncs or can be programmed on the transmitter and receiver, rack ears, carry case, XLR output, AA battery's .. Good strong signals out doors around 20 metres indoors no problems with distance .. Works like a Senn.... But you could buy 2 of these systems and a 2u rack for the same price as one.. "You can't go wrong"
