This is a high baffle, small chamber mouthpiece. I loved the tone on contemporary tunes: really edgy and bright but without the annoying ringing quality of the very similar but much cheaper Vandoren Jumbo Java.
I found it to be less versatile than the DV or the Durga though and I wanted one mouthpiece for everything. I’m sick of changing mouthpiece for the jazz gigs. I tried the 8 tip opening and I liked it.
Aesthetically, it looks great. I like the rhodium plating with the gold ligature. The signature is pretty cool and there’s none of the weird Theo Wanne Graphics on the mouthpiece.
If money was no issue, I’d like to keep this one for the fun of that super contemporary sound but the cost is a little high for that and I wanted something a little more versatile. I found I could get a sound close to this on the DV with a softer reed but have a much rounder darker tone when I wanted it.
