Thomann 12H Ocarina C3 Roses black

An excellent product.

The 12 hole alto C3 ocarina arrived in a colourful box, along with a bilingual German / English tutorial book full of instructions on how to play this instrument, and a lanyard to allow you to hang the ocarina about your neck, though it is a heavy instrument.

The ocarina also came with a padded case to protect it. This case comes with a sturdy loop to allow you to carry it with you.

The sound quality is haunting and clear, and it could become my go-to all-time favourite ocarina, when I can go outside once more.

Even at this low price, you get the premium finish of Stein/Focalink ocarinas. The glaze is very smooth and sturdy, and the tuning is solid.
The breath curve could be better, in particular the high steps are larger than linear, and the sub-hole low pitches are very quiet. The ocarina is also relatively heavy for a 12-hole alto C.
There are better-sounding cheap ocarinas out there, but they are much harder to purchase, and the finish quality won't be nearly as good.
