Thomann ABS Mandolin Case

I bought this case as a gift for my mum's mandolin. She plays the instrument at home and the reason to buy a case for us is to keep the instrument safe from impacts, moisture and temperature at home. After 18 month of use I can say it serves the purpose well. If you wish to take your instrument out and show off with it , you may consider buying something fancier (and of course more expensive ). This case is simple and plain but in my opinion looks good besides being sturdy and affordable. I could buy it again.

Bought this case for an F-style mandolin (Harley Benton HBMA-100 VS) and was concerned that it might not fit into the case. However, I am very pleased with it.
When you first put the mandolin into the case, the molding of the inner cover appears 'wrong', like it is too tight or misshapened. However, it is actually perfect as it fits neat on top of the neck, keeping it in place during transport. I would highly recommend this case.

Très bien mais pas pour une mandoline portugaise, un peu trop fin, il faut aussi enlever le renfort supérieur en polystyrène qui appuie sur le manche, couper la fourrure avec un cutter et le découper, rien de compliqué. J’y met la mandoline harley benton 50e et pour le prix c’est une excellente caisse très solide

I bought this Thomann ABS mandolin case for an A.Style mandolin
It is a nice, robust hardcase with a nice soft interior.

The neck-rest was way too high.
So the case wouldent close.
Had to use a hammer and beat it down to get the room needed to close the case without damaging the instrument.
But after that, it worked very good.
Grate value for the money

fFor the price i'd say unbeatable. It's not elegant nor compact but it protects my mandolin very well, closes snugly and the material seems to be hard enough to even check it in when flying.
Just four stars cause i'm left handed and it's a bit uncomfortable to carry it with the left hand.
Would recommend!!

A little rough round the edges in places but fits my F-Style Harley Benton perfectly. It even has a little storage hatch for your bits and pieces. I've used it to take my instrument on holiday camping out and it survived perfectly.

These cases are recommended by my own luthier. He advised that they give better protection than older, traditional types, plywood cases.
I bought two for my banjos and one for my mandolin.

They all need a tiny bit of modification, depending on the dimensions of the instruments but this is something to expect unless you buy a custom-designed case.

I bought this case to store and transport my 'The Loar' Mandolin.
As far as I can tell, this is a tough case for storing and transporting my mondolin.
I only use it to store the instrument at home and move it around in my own car. The mandolin has held it's pitch whilst stored in this case.
For the price paid I think it's great value.
