Thomann Cover Pro MA 120 MKII

As you might see from my other reviews I get professionally in multiple bands. Often I supply PA on the gigs I'm playing on. I've recently decided to replace my ageing, large and having monitors with the smaller set (MA 120 MKII + Passive M112 eco) to make load in and out easier. I've always found that monitors they end up getting trashed, covered in beer from punters in pubs and are the last thing anyone really wants to spend money on. Keeping these monitors looking smart is important as I'd rather not have to replace them just due to looking scruffy. I found a better experience in the past not having a cover for something quickly causes it to become damaged in vans and while loading in and out of venues. As several of the bands I work with gig on the wedding circuit it's important that we look the part with smart and well maintained equipment. Agents in particular appear to place great stock in a band investing in their equipment. This case fits the monitor extremely well. Weirdly it was easier to put on then the other (probably because I realise which way it was meant to go on!). I'm extremely confident that this monitor cover will keep the item in excellent condition for years to come. If it does become damaged or become too tarty at this price I will be replacing it with another one.

I bought this cover to use with the Pro MA 120 MK11 powered monitor that it is designed for. I have to say it seems to be very well made and should last well getting trasnported in the van. The stitching is done in strong thread and the reinforced edges will hopefully stop the material fraying. I have not used the cover in the rain - but it looks as though it would be pretty waterproof so no worries there. Price wise I thought it was a wee bit expensive - but I suppose I should expect to pay this kind of amount when the monitor itself is so cheap so I would not expect a free cover. All in all a good item worth the extra expense to make sure the monitor stays in good condition.
