I bought this instrument to aid myself to study music theory and learn piano as a second instrument after classical guitar. I checked out the Thomann line and several other instruments at Thomann, a lady at the piano department was kind enough to play something on each for me. I chose this over entry level Yamaha/Roland pianos because of the price and with this I don't fell that I am "missing out" on a lot of features from a bigger model. I really fancied the Yamaha CLP-735 and the Roland HP704, but those are 4-6 times more expensive. Sound-wise I have one issue: in the piano sounds, when a note is held down and sound comes from the speakers it plays a strange noise after 1 or 2 seconds continuously, like a low feedback noise. Not really disturbing with headphones, but still noticeable.
One note though: the package needs two strong men ideally! I was told they only ship to door and not to the 4th floor, so I moved it myself. My whole body hurt for a week after I moved it alone up to the 4th floor. The keyboard itself is around 40-45 kgs, very heavy! Hence the 3 stars on handling.
At the end I think this was a good choice. A higher end instrument might have steered me away from the guitar too much, but this is decent enough to get me to sit down and practice 3-4 times a week.
