The case is good, but the workmanship itself is poor. the edges of the aluminum frame are sharp and I literally bled. The rear right shutter is rather difficult to close. But all in all usable

I
Nice cheap case
Itai 10.10.2018
I holds my Ibanez GSR pretty well.

With stock/generic hard-cases, it's hard to tell what will actually fit, so you're taking a gamble if you order this sight unseen. I was hoping it will fit my Warwick - but no luck. It only fits the GSR, and not absolutely snugly - just snug enough.

It also doesn't look like it will take too much beating.

For occasional use when I'm transporting the bass myself, it's plenty good and I'm happy, especially for the price, but not hugely impressed either.

EM
It's ok but not very heavy duty, fine for the money
Eugene M. 29.01.2019
I bought this for keeping an extra bass out of harms way in the studio and at home but if I were taking a bass out to do a bass gig I'd be putting my bass into the Gator one I have but to be fair the gator was more expensive...........

Tested on 5 string jazz bass
Malphas 04.05.2020
Pros: Good and light. Does the trick and I could fit my 5 string jazz bass.
Cons: Had to glue the interior because it came off. Not an hard fix but it's still new.

A
Good for the price but a bit floppy when open
Anonymous 08.11.2015
This will provide a GREAT deal more protection than a gig bag. And the price is OK.

When the case is open, the shell halves a bit flexible which means you need to fiddle to line up the aluminium trim at the shut line to get the clasps to engage properly. Perhaps it would be better with more hinges or a single, long piano hinge. You aren't paying custom flight case money so you can't expect something that's rock-solid.

In summary, it's great for putting in the back of your car and carrying in and out of gigs through doorways etc but I wouldn't trust anybody else to handle it. Definitely not airline baggage-handler-proof.

Ok for the money
stemuk01 26.07.2014
This case is not bad for the money, however the hardware is quite cheap and flimsy. I also noticed that if you rub the lining it leaves a black residue on you finger. This meant that I did not dare put my Sandberg California VS4 in the case. This product is ok for a budget instrument.
