Best in the price range
Daniel B. 4424 04.01.2022
For this price you won’t find a better bag, I used this bag for a good 4 years after purchase with zero problems, no zip breaks no stitches coming loose. And the padding is sufficient if your just commuting around town etc. I wouldn’t trust if on a plane.

There are better bags out there for much more money, but for this price this is your best bet. GET SUM!

A safe bet.

This is actually my second of these cases I have purchased.

The first one had lasted me three years before it had worn away which was largely due to my own treatment!

The zip on my old one worked perfectly till the end however I have had a slightly issue with the two sides splitting and the case being exposed sometimes. This may just be an anomaly as I have not know anybody else with this case to have the issue.

Strong straps with comfortable padding for your shoulders, lots of pocket space to keep leads/books/sandwiches.

For £25, is an absolutely stunning piece of kit. Even has a neck support block which keeps the headstock from bashing about in the case should it be in the back of a car. I wouldn't personally buy a case that didn't have one of these now.

The fasteners can be a little stiff for the strap height however once you have it in a comfortable position will not slip out or adjust whilst on the go. Very reliable.

In summary, the best bass case you can buy for the price, unless you're thinking of going semi-hard case, this is definitely the best thing for the job.

not exactly what i expected
dom79 31.12.2018
just received for 1st time from thomann. it took about 2 weeks but i guess this is because of the christmass period.

as for the E-Bass gigbag elite.

my very 1st impression. in the photos looks promissing but when i got it on my hands it wasn't exactly what i expected.

1st of all my 34 scale fender p bass (which i bought it for) barely fits in..while my 35 scale bass has space!! the problem is on the headstock where i have to push the top of the bag to fit. the rest of the body and scale sits perfectly. 2nd. the pockets are not as big as they appear to be. they are just for the basics. 3rd the zippers do not have a smooth feeling. the back straps do not look so strong. the outside material is hard enough provides protection but it is not flexible. the interior padding looks very good. it still is a good bag but you get what you pay. for it's value is good. i feel like my bass is uncomfortable in there and needs some more air. in time and after some use i ll know more. take notice of the dimensions. may not be suitable for many models.

Back To Black (for me)

This bag certainly seems well made and should last a long time. The zips are heavy duty and the main one is double opening.
It balances nicely when carried by the handle and has two shoulder straps (which rather bizarrely store away in a big pocket on the back. When using just one shoulder strap in balances reasonably, though not as well as some other gig bags.
It has a good selection of pockets and the padding is high density and very protective.
As it happens for general use I prefer one of the cheaper offerings from Thomann. This may in part be due to the colour scheme (and I admit I have no one but myself to blame for choosing this) and this bag tends to reside at home With a spare bass in it...
If, however, you think you are man (or woman) enough to carry off public appearances with a cream and purple gig bag I'm sure it will do you proud!

M
Excellent for the price
Michael9841 18.11.2019
These bags are quite good for the price. While more expensive brands have more pockets, thicker padding, and a more rugged construction, these are built amazingly well for the price and have lots of handy features including well designed pockets. My one complaint is the color which tends to attract dirt and grime. Then again, it's easy to spot the bag amongst a bunch of black bags.

Very good quality/price ratio
Anonymous 25.08.2015
I've got a few of these bags over the years... I use them for bigger basses as their size will fit 8-10 strings instruments without effort. The pockets have good size and the bag itself isn't easy to wear out. The padding isn't huge but for the price, again, I think it's a pretty good value. I also like the fact it's beige and not black, it's very good to have in case you're getting your gear from your car on a dark road and other cars keep running around... a clear color could save your life and is also easier to recognize in case it's in a mess of cases/bags (usually black or dark colored anyway). The shoulder straps aren't exceptional, so if you have a very heavy or very expensive bass you better check/lock them for good.

Plenty of space
JHRymer 25.02.2024
I keep a 5 string bass with a multitude of cables, accessories and even a pedal in this case with no space issue. Definitely a good, affordable option!

Thunderbirds are go!!!

Finally a case that fits my bass guitar its water proof, fake leather i think has pockets, be brave with the colours and doesnt feel like it will break any time soon.
I don't own a hard case but at the moment i don't need one this thing is fantastic, not quite as good as its acoustic guitar case sister but there is not muh in it.
I use it for gigs and it gets chucked in the back of the van and it hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear let alone rips.
The zips are good and the pockets spacious. really good case.

Nice, good and cheap
Anonymous 03.11.2015
This gig bag will keep your bass safe on your back while you travel. It has lots of room for tablatures, adapters, tuner and even my field recorder. It looks and feel pretty rigid. The neck protection thingy has a velcro to fasten it, but it feels a little cheap and doesn't fit my jazz bass very well. Though my bass is probably better of with it than without it.

I couldn't find any real cons except for one small one: which goes for all 'thomann brand' gig bags I've purchased so far:

The plastic stick which they use for the brand label is embedded through the material, and so it leaves a small (1,5mm) hole in the front which might comprimise its water safety. Though I've put a tiny piece of duct tape over it and I expect it to be able to do what it's supposed to do nevertheless.

A lot cheaper than most brands, and does exactly the same!

JH
nice bag but check your bass dimensions
Juri Hruska 12.02.2019
I order this bag together with Harley benton jazz bass and it fits there really tight. There is no room left over the head. So check your bass dimensions before ordering. Some 24 frets or 5 string with straight 5 head might not fit there!

Pros
Good quality of materials
Good padding
Big storage bags
Price

Cons
It might not be good for some bass guitars. I would say it is P/J bass type bag.
