This instrument is for use in both our marching and stage band.
The MBH303 attracted us because of its compact construction and larger bore size than most marching baritones at the budget end of the market.
Its mouthpiece and receiver are similar to those of a large bore tenor trombone rather than the more usual small bore. However, we do not feel this to be an issue and should one wish to use small bore trombone /baritone mp it works well with a large to small bore adaptor shank.
In common with most brass instruments there are some note ( e.g C sharp in the stave) which are slightly problematic but overall the tone and projection are very good.
SP finish looks good but it will be some time before we know how durable it is. Case is nice and like most cases today a polistyrene body covered in waterproof material.
The general design resembles a Yamaha Marching baritone
Overall we are very happy at this stage with the instruments.
