OK for sheet music
Anonymous 02.02.2016
Initial impressions very good, after living with the traditional folding music stands for many years. Holds sheet music fine but beware of heavier objects like folders of sheet music.

The problem is the plastic clamp to adjust the table angle, it's just not robust or 'grippy' enough and if over tightened it breaks. I glued some rubber in mine to give it more grip, but eventually it just broke. Maybe it's my fault for expecting it to take music folders without complaint.

Conclusion, if you just want it to hold a few sheets of paper like a traditional music stand - you'll be fine with this and it's great value, but if you're looking for something to hold music folders, projectors, laptops etc then look for one with all metal construction.

f
"good" stands that break easily
forssis 21.11.2019
We have 5 of these stands that we use at the rehearsal and at gigs. We've used Thomann Orchestra Music Stand Bags to reduce wear between gig transits. Still all of these stands had at least one of the connector plastics break. So would not recommend this product unless you're fine with buying new ones every 3 years or so.

If you dont move it

...its properly a good stand doing its thing.
But if you are moving it around in a car to consert, its soon telling you why its cheap.

Pretty decent
Hyejin 23.01.2020
It's a good music stand, I re-ordered this one because I bumped it once. It fell and completely broke in half.
Before it broke it was very nice to use, especially since it's priced so well.
That's the reason why I am reordering. I thought it was easy to use and very comfortable. It does take up some space but if you're not lazy, unlike me, you can just fold it and place it somewhere else where you won't bump it.
So from now on I will just fold it and make it smaller when I don't use it.
But handling and stability is really nice, just a pity you can't buy separate parts so you need to re-buy the whole stand.

Watch out for the plastic components
Anonymous 19.04.2016
On the face of it this seems like a rock solid music stand. But take care with the plastic parts! If you're going to put this up in your house and leave it in one place and never move it, fine. If you're moving it from gig to gig, I suggest another product because it's too easy to snap the 'T' piece at the top of the upright connecting to the music tray. For transport, you _must_ disassemble the music tray from the upright support otherwise you are pretty much guaranteed to break it.

Cant go wrong!
Michael4130 28.11.2014
In my time I have been every where buying this and that and an orchestral stand is something i have bought on many occasions!!
Because they all bloody break!
the Quality is so bad in half of them you might get one gig out of them

Now to this one!!
its a fairly ok quality a bit plasticy for my liking but for the price you cant go wrong
its after lasting me a good while now and I play at leas 3-4 times a week in different venues so its been thrown around a few times

Hard wearing: YES!
Handling: well it folds just fine as you know there awkward yolks to have laying in the van-car- etc..
Stability: there perfectly stable cant knock it!
Quality: I find them Just right

Not for giging
Tooomas 29.01.2020
Pros:
Stable, looks nice.
Cons:
Plastic clamps break. The bottom one broke on 15min drive on backseat of my car, just suitcase next to it.

Nice thing to have stationary in rehearsing room or studio.

Braket broken
The Hutch 19.04.2016
This is ideal for music / tablet use during practice or performance but not heavy gigging. The metal parts are sturdy and look to last but the cheaper plastic brackets and bolt tightening sections are not really up to the job. One of them broke within a couple of uses so I now have to use a grip wrench. Shame!

UPDATE: Thomann, do the replacement parts / fixings if yours has broken.... just be gentle, no "Desperate Dan" strong arm required.

Cheap stand, but it works. I does feel a bit cheap when ju adjust it and so, but the stand stands and does it's job well!
For the price, it's a good buy.

OK

Affordable and reasonable good looking, but with pretty serious design flaws. I've been using mine very lightly and it's still like new, but I could imagine one of these breaking up very easily if I started transporting it around with any regularity. Usable, but needs improvement.
