light weight 10U case for not much money
Andrew551 20.09.2015
Pro:
+ low cost
+ light weight
+ strong (enough)
+ comes with a bag of screws and plastic washers
+ front and back lids close securely
+ full rack both front and back - this is very useful for adding power distribution or patch bays on the back, especially as the unit is quite deep.

Con:
- Rack screws fasten into a plate with threaded M5 holes. This plate goes the full height and doesn't always line up with the equipment very well. It has not got the play a captive nut would have to take up any miss alignment. Additionally if you struggle long and hard enough to get your equipment mounted you can end up stripping a thread which is then irreplaceable. (But could be tapped out to M6)

Other remarks:
The M5 screws part 294919 are slot headed. The case comes with cross headed screws.
There are no air holes. This is good in terms of carrying them outside through the rain but a drawback in terms of cooling. Put in a few plates with air vents like 214126 or 120517

Overall a good buy

T
Great rack for the price
TheSoundMatrix 18.11.2017
I was looking for the cheapest 10u case to put my unracked gear in. I have used "named" brands before so was a little aprehensive about something so cheap. Anyway, I was surprised at the quality for the price. It is very good. With a full 10u it is heavy but seems really sturdy. The material is a little more flexible than one costing twice the price, but bang for buck as they say, this is a real winner. It also has a net inside one of the doors for the leads. All in all a good product, and Thomann was the cheapest buying from the UK.

Good for the money
JoLi69 28.12.2017
It's very good for the money! Of course not the most robust one, but that's not what you expect from this price class. I use it mainly in our "rehearsal cave", holding a amplifier, a mixer and a IEM unit. Still some space free.
I have still not been using it on tour, but should not be a problem if you handle it with some care!

The biggest plus is the light weight!
Christjan 08.01.2023
I can be satisfied by itself, the walls are perhaps a bit too thin and soft, but the devices that are put in add rigidity. :D
In fact, we are quite happy and everything is kept and protected.
In addition, we installed small wheels, so it would be more convenient to transport at gigs.
Actually, I recommend if you drive your own car or van to the gigs. For air and truck transport, you must definitely choose a plywood rack case.

Value for money
Thomas3230 21.01.2015
I got one of these to store my x32 rack mixing console in (and also my draw to keep microphones, clips, cables, tools & tape in) so it's fairly might equipment inside it.

It definitely serves it's purpose however if you're looking for something to keep your gear 100% safe in and drop it from a building... this probably isn't your best bet. Still very good though, I would happily buy it again if I need another one, purely for the value for money. Some rack cases can cost stupid amounts when it's only a box to keep stuff in at the end of the day.

Happy with my purchase and quite highly recommended.

A lot of storage for not much money
RockingWithTele 27.03.2020
I used two of these for my sound reinforcement work, lot's of outboard gear. Overall, I was very happy with them, they don't feel very solid, or durable, but worked fine regardless.

I have one Gator rack and Thomann Rack case is more heavy then Gator but price od Thomann is better then Gator ... If they can do a version 8u with handle and wheels (+ locking butterflies) it should be perfect !

Nor a bad case, especially for the price. There's plenty of room for all my outboard PA equipment, and I feel pretty confident in it's safety. I wouldn't necessarily wan't to take this box international, but for a local gigging band, it's more than able.

It also comes with a good amount of screws for mounting your rack equipment.

If you're on a budget this is a good option and worth checking out.
