The little details is what makes this uke stand out. Example: a discreet binding on the fingerboard's edge means you don't feel the fret ends at all. Book matched on top, sides and back. Purfling around the top is tasteful and very pretty. Most importantly, it plays in tune all over the fretboard and the set up is outstanding, good action and playability. Sound is typical soprano Ukulele. not very loud but well rounded and not thin sounding. Maybe better strings would improve it even further.
The wood figuring on the top is spectacular although the photo on the website shows a plain one. I guess they vary and that's why they don't want to advertise the beautiful top that you may get with a bit of luck.
One thing I have noticed from personal experience is that the brand "Thomann" seems often superior to the brand "Harley Benton". My daughter paid a little over a thousand Euros for a Thomann saxophone and it is a superlative instrument on par with much more expensive ones. This ukulele is an example of a very fine instrument bearing what seems a generic name but you won't be dissapointed.
