I was looking for a cheap trumpet to replace my broken Yamaha as I was on a budget and want to start practicing again. I thought I had to get one of the factory produced 100 pound trumpets from Amazon. Then somebody recommended Thomann to me and I fortunately found this one!
Now I'm not an expert, I have played the trumpet for about six or seven years in school orchestra and want to now get back to practicing a bit more seriously. Despite not being an expert I can tell this instrument seems to have a good sound and good quality, it seems well manufactured and has a beautiful warm and clear sound. The Yamaha has a slightly brighter sound compared to it but personally I think I prefer a more mellow sound so I'm very happy with this.
The valves work smoothly as well, which was one of the most important things for me.
It comes with a nice case, a cloth, Thomann valve oil and mouthpiece of course.
The only downside (which is not Thomann's fault I guess) is that I had to pay 50 pound taxes on it, which I only found out after the trumpet was already dispatched. That came as a bit of a shock but I could probably have expected that as I live in the UK and it is different now with Brexit. So if you are from the UK bear that in mind.
Overall I'm really pleased with the trumpet and glad I didn't have to spend a lot on a more expensive trumpet.
