This recorder is quite the gem, given the meagre price point of only four euros. It does everything you would possibly need out of a recorder (and yes that means it makes a sound) and it is very durable at that. You can really feel that it is of good quality upon holding it (as in sturdiness here, it's not a beauty to behold or anything). It is also as loud as your like to ever need it to be, though it can be quite too. However the finish on it is far from flush, you can very very clearly see where it has been glued together (there's no bubbles of glue hanging from the side or anything but it's quite plain to see). However for four euros I don't see why anyone would complain by any means, personally I wasn't expecting some eloquently carved spruce wood or anything. Nonetheless this recorder is absolutely perfect for any beginner to the instrument, and several months later I still feel happy with the purchase. I use it all the time and it most certainly hasn't lost any tone or anything. Upon receiving the recorder I was genuinely surprised by the instrument, it seemed quite large for four euros (now I knew nothing about records at the time but I was fond of tin whistle) and in coming with a bag what more could you ask for. It even came with a chord and note sheet which are perfect for a beginner. In summary this is a great little purchase for the aspiring recorder player, however one should not expect anything unbelievable for four euros. It seems durable so far (several months in), it has a great sound and what else could you possibly ask for. Pick yourself up one on the side of your next purchase, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Stable and portable

This is the soprano to have on your bag everywhere. I use it to cover for students, the ones who couldn’t buy their own, or forgot it. But in Brazil it’ s not at all easy to be a teacher now.

Good for beginners

We were looking for a recorder for beginners what Thomann TRS-21G really is.

What is good is that the recorder has a movable lower part with the first hole, which can be rotated so that it can be adapted for children with short fifth finger.

The sound is OK for this price range. It is only a pity that the stand is not included in the set as shown in the pictures.

It is a simple recorder like the ones I used play at school when I was a kid.

If you are a beginner this is for you!

I bought this recorder to teach my young niece how to play without fear of her damaging it by dropping etc.... I was very pleased with the quality of the instrument and the tone it produces. For the price it is impossible to find something better for teaching, well done Thomann!

Perfectly adequate recorder for kids

Great option if your child comes home from school and says they need a recorder as they want to learn. It's low cost and does the job.

Try to convince them to learn ANY other instrument though :-)
